Peter Bleakley B.Sc. (Geo) - Exploration Manager

Mr Bleakley joins Bauxite Resources Ltd from his most recent position with the successful ASX-listed iron ore company, Gindalbie Metals Ltd, where he held the position of Exploration Manager from 2005 and helped with the discovery and delivery of the 1.43 billion tonne Karara Iron Ore Project, located in Western Australia’s Mid West. An experienced Perth-based Geologist, Mr Bleakley has broad knowledge of project development and mine management. Between 1999 – 2005, Mr Bleakley worked for gold mining company Sons of Gwalia Ltd as a Project Geologist, where he oversaw the delineation of the +250,000 ounces Hercules Deposit. Mr Bleakley brings his expertise and extensive experience in helping to identify and develop a strategy for the environmentally sustainable extraction of bauxite in Perth’s Darling Ranges.

Ben Ziegelaar B.Sc. (AppChem) FAusIMM MRACI C.Chem - Technical Marketing and Quality Control Manager

Mr Ben Ziegelaar is an internationally renowned chemical engineer with extensive experience as a Chief Technical and Quality Control Manager. He joins BRL from his most recent position with Rio Tinto where he was Manager Quality Measurement, a position held since 2005. Mr Ziegelaar has vast experience in mineral operations, marketing and customer relationship building. He is the Chairman of the International Standards Organisation Technical Commitee (ISO) on the Chemistry of Iron as well as the Australian Chairman of the Standards Australia (MN2SC2).

 

 

Chester Chen Masters in Strategic Marketing - Marketing & Logistics Manager

Mr Chen joined BRL in 2008 and is responsible for developing marketing strategy and assembling a marketing team in China to promote and market bauxite Direct Shipping Ore (DSO). As a marketing and communications expert, Mr. Chen complements the executive team with his experience, expertise and contacts in dealing with potential Chinese DSO bauxite off-take customers.

Prior to joining BRL, Mr. Chen was the Commercial Relationship Manager for CITIC Pacific Mining Management (CPMM) where he was responsible for providing value-adding strategic procurement/sourcing opportunities to ensure timely delivery of supply for operations. He assisted BRL's Mr Tenardi when they worked together at CPMM in developing and sustaining sound commercial relationships with Chinese stakeholders for operations. As the Business Improvement Manager in CPMM, Mr Chen’s core accountability was to develop a framework for continuous business improvement throughout operations.

Mr. Chen has a Master of Strategic Marketing from Curtin University of Technology and is a NAATI accredited professional translator.

Kevin Woodthorpe B.BSc - Project and Infrastructure Manager

The Company has secured the services of Kevin Woodthorpe as Project and Infrastructure Manager. Mr. Woodthorpe has a range of commercial experience that includes direct involvement with energy markets and utilities in Europe, New Zealand and Australia, including establishing compliance process for the European Union Emissions Trading Scheme (EUETS) and New South Wales Greenhouse Abatement Certificate Scheme (NGAC). Mr Woodthorpe joins BRL from Gindalbie Metals Ltd where he was a senior consultant to the company in connection with the Karara Iron Ore Project’s 1,000,000MWh per annum energy off-take agreement and enabling the early works agreement with Western Power, the supplier and operator of the South West Interconnected System. As Project and Infrastructure Manager, Mr Woodthorpe will oversee the necessary studies for the proposed direct shipping of bauxite project and to deal with all the necessary consultants, government, regulatory bodies and land access issues. Specifically Mr Woodthorpe will be concentrating on the potential of direct shipping of bauxite in parallel with the Company’s longer term plans for the development of an alumina refinery.

Brad Farmer - Public Affairs

Brad Farmer has over 25 years experience in strategic, ethical communications in Australia and internationally, from high level government relations to community stakeholder engagement.  Brad joins BRL from CITIC Pacific’s Pilbara operations where was Business Relations Manager of the Chinese conglomerates signature Indigenous JV SINO CENTRAL, holding executive responsibility for building strategic bilateral relations between Chinese and Australian business and cultural interests. 
 
A former senior policy and media adviser to Federal Parliamentarians, Senators and the NSW Attorney-General’s Department, Brad has held various commonwealth, state and local leadership roles over the past 18 years. He has founded a number of major national environment and community initiatives, all not-for-profit NGO’s.  He currently chairs the internationally-renowned and state supported, National Surfing Reserves with Prof. Andrew Short, under the patronage of the Federal Environment Minister.

Brad’s experience and expertise will ensure BRL reaches new benchmarks in corporate and social responsibilities within the communities it operates.

Peter Senini B.Sc (Hons)- Senior Consultant Geologist

Mr Peter Senini is a highly experienced and respected exploration geologist having spent 40 years in the industry, 28 of these with Alcoa in the Darling Range. Mr Senini is able to advise the Exploration Team with his immence expertise concerning bauxite, specifically Darling Range bauxite, and his wealth of knowledge in a global context has strengthened BRL’s business objectives.
Mr Senini is able to consult on risk assessment, feasibility and cost analysis related to bauxite. He has considerable knowledge and background in the evaluation of Australian bauxite in a global market and is able to give a strategic review of world bauxite supply and demand.
Mr Senini is also able to advise the Exploration team on ore resource calculations, geostatistical studies, bauxite cost models and ore characterisations.

Shane Larmont - Operations Manager

Shane Larmont has 20 years experience in the operations end of the mining industry. Shane started off at the ground floor 'dirt face' of the industry and worked his way up to managerial roles which he has held for the last 10 years.
He joins BRL from CITIC Pacific’s Sino iron project, where he was the first Sino Iron employee and in charge  managing everything from exploration, camp construction, catering, preparation for mining operations, alternate registered   manager role and area manager construction.
In the past two years with CITIC Shane’s primary focus was for the implementation of mining systems, recruitment of mining teams and start of mining operations,  in addition to bulk earthworks for the main construction areas.
In the Operations Managerial role at BRL Shane is currently working on a Safety health and environmental management plan, Project management plan, mining methodologies and the integration of the mining/rail and port activities to ensure a safe and productive operation.

Helen Trlin BA.Coms- Administration and Investor Communications

Mrs Helen Trlin joined Bauxite Resources in its early days and has overseen the Company's rapid growth to its current size. Helen has a background in Public Relations, Media and Communications with a particular focus on Marketing and Investor Relations. Helen has extensive administration management experience from her manufacturing background having dealt with funds management, human resources and administration reporting including office procedures and policies.

Helen takes great pride in the Company's growth and looks forward to the next exciting chapter of the Company's development.

 

Angela Jeffries - Human Resources & Marketing Co-ordinator

Angela Jeffries joined BRL in April 2009 and is responsible for assisting the Marketing Team to develop and maintain their marketing strategy.  Angie has extensive experience in the mining industry having worked for the Rio Tinto group for 14 years and CITIC Pacific Mining for 12 months.
Angie worked as a PA for the Managing Director / General Manager Marketing at Robe River Mining for 9 years before moving into a Corporate role where she was responsible for administering the Company Secretarial requirements for a number of Robe entities.
Angie joined CITIC Pacific Mining in April 2008 and extended her knowledge base to include Industry Analysis and Market research for the Global Business Development Team.
Angie is looking forward to working with the Bauxite Resources team and contributing to this challenging new project.

 

Terry O’Connor - General Manager Operations

Terry O'Connor has been appointed General Manager Operations since joining BRL in November 2009.
Terry comes from a mechanical engineering background in the oil and gas industry, progressed into sales and marketing and joins BRL from Cape Australia Holdings Pty Ltd where he held the position of Regional Sales and Marketing Director for the Far East and Pacific rim.
Terry has vast experience in operational management and international sales and marketing, extensive knowledge in project management and a proven track record of success in increasing shareholder value in international companies.

 

Matthew Todd - Environment Manager

Dr Matthew Todd joined BRL in November 2009 as Environmental Manager. Matthew has spent 10 years in the environmental consulting industry in WA involved predominantly in the mining sector dealing with all aspects of Environmental Impact Assessment and Environmental Regulation of the WA Environmental Protection Act. Matthew's PhD was conducted in conjunction with Alcoa World Alumina and Worsley Alumina investigating the success of rehabilitated bauxite mines in the Darling Range of Western Australia. Matthew has a very sound understanding of ecological processes and sustainability principles.  

 

Jacquie Jankowski - Manager - Tenements, Contracts and Land Access

Jacquie Jankowski has joined BRL as Manager - Tenements, Contracts and Land Access. Jacquie has had over nine years experience in the mining industry, her most recent position a supervisory role with Rio Tinto Iron Ore (RTIO) where she was responsible for ensuring security for all forms of land tenure.
Jacquie has extensive experience in liaising with relevant government agencies regarding compliance with statutory requirements and in contract management dealing with all aspects of Contractor Management Systems.

 

Daniel Goldhahn - Business Analyst

Daniel Goldhahn joined BRL in November 2009 filling the role of Business Analyst to complement the accounts team. Daniel joins BRL from Moore Stephens where he held the position of auditor for three and a half years. Prior to this he worked in the Office of the Auditor General of WA.
In his previous role, Daniel gained considerable knowledge in accounting issues as well as gaining experience reviewing other ASX Listed Resource Companies.
Daniel is a qualified Chartered Accountant with a Bachelor of Commerce degree.
